There is plenty of it, but cold winters contribute to a heightened appreciation of the warm months. Outdoor living time is maximized and treasured. The cycle of seasons is tough on exterior finishes, so durability ranks highly alongside aesthetics.
This new deck, fireplace and putting green retired the old deck and refreshed the entire back yard. The arrival from the garage was carefully considered as it's as important to the owner as the formal front entry. Areas for grilling, dining, lounging, putting and enjoying a cocktail by the fireplace on a cool fall evening were all incorporated. Finishes and railings on the front porch were also replaced.
