Kaufman O’Neil Architecture worked closely with Lendlease Development and the core and shell architect, bKL Architecture, to design the residential condominium units for this new high rise in Chicago’s Lakeshore East neighborhood.
Located where Lake Michigan and the Chicago River meet, the units take full advantage of the never static amazing city, lake, and park views. With a nod to the efficiency of nautical architecture, the Kitchens become furniture pieces of the living areas within the units. The baths provide spa like finishes providing owners with a retreat to refresh before or after a fulfilling day.
Kaufman O’Neil Architecture refined the demising plans to achieve Lendlease’s target unit size and quantity goals while designing the plans for each individual unit, 1, 2, 3 BRs, the Town Home and Penthouse Units. Two standard finish palettes were developed by our team along with three additional upgrade palettes. Kaufman O’Neil Architecture is now engaged in Construction Administration to ensure construction efficiencies coordinate with design aesthetics.
